Baby Girl Nursery Inspiration

It’s funny, since announcing my pregnancy back in August I’ve been asked all sorts of questions… how are you feeling? Do you have a name picked out? What are you craving? Are you excited? Nervous? Scared? But by far the most common question I receive is… how are you decorating the nursery!?!
To be honest, while I looooove decorating, I hadn’t put much thought into what a nursery might look like in our home until becoming pregnant. In fact, “J” and I only decided three months ago that the guest bedroom (the room I always thought would be the nursery) would stay a guest bedroom and we’d convert the home office into baby girl’s bedroom.

Regardless of the of the location in our house, one thing I knew for sure was that I wanted the nursery to be a neutral, simple, and calming space (I’ve said it before, I’m a neutrals kind of girl!). Before we even started buying furniture and accessories I pulled together a nursery moodboard to help us (ahem… by “us” I mean “J”) visualize the room’s look and feel, as well as a Pinterest board to help us nail down the style we were looking for. Both boards have been extremely helpful in keeping us (ahem… by “us” I mean “me”) on track with the furniture purchases as well as keeping the decor & clutter to a minimum.
If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen sneak peeks and glimpses of the nursery in my story highlights… we’ve slowly been working away it… and as much as I want to get it all done in one weekend (nesting much?) we still have two months to get it right!
