My Newest Piece of Art

Fact: I don’t really enjoy buying art. I have yet to purchase a single piece of artwork by another artist. This might seem crazy or self centered, but I actually prefer to have my home filled with my own pieces… art that I actually have a personal connection with.

I’ll admit, it has been a while since I picked up a paintbrush that wasn’t used for painting a wall, but after the last tour of our new house, I started to realize how many empty walls we are going to have. Inspiration struck.

In about 8 hours, over the course of 2 days, I finished my first painting for the new house. And since I have already started decorating (in my head)… I know exactly where it’s going to go. Now you will just have to wait until we move in to see.
