Recap: Canadian Design Bloggers Meet-Up

Canadian Design Blogger Meet-Up
Nervous, excited, curious, and happy was how most of us bloggers felt last night at the Canadian Design Blogger Meet-Up at the simply stunning Hotel Le Germain in Toronto.

It’s funny because you never know what to expect when you come to these things… You have sort of met these women online through blogging, you may know a thing or two about their lives, you may have even seen their picture – but it is a true experience to finally get to meet them in person.

I was able to meet some of my favourite bloggers last night where we sipped wine and chatted up a storm about design, food, houses, and life in general.

Of course the question of the night was “What do you do in real life?” There was such a wide ray of answers, it was really amazing. But even though we all came from different backgrounds we all had a passion for one thing – design.

I want to send a big Thank You out to Daniella from Dress, Design, Decor and Vitania from Verdigris Vie… You both worked sooo hard and pulled off a truly amazing event! And thanks to Natalie from A Bit of Blue for snapping pics all night… I cannot wait to see all the amazing group shots!

Also a special thank you to the very generous sponsors, GK Hair and Delta. They gave away some stunning prizes, including a 2 in 1 Shower Head and the Touch 2O Kitchen Faucet {which I would have really loved to win… my kitchen faucet right now is something disgusting!}.

We also didn’t leave empty handed… some swag bags with designer essentials were also handed out. It contained great products from GK Hair, the November issue of Canadian House and Home, the December issue of Style at Home, a generous gift certificate from Lindsay at Penny People Designs, and a ticket to the Toronto One of a Kind Christmas Show {which is starting next week}.

If you want a list of all the bloggers that attended the event you can check out my Canadian Design Blogger Meet-Up Page Here. You can also find them on Twitter by following cdndsnbloggers.

I am definitely looking forward to doing this more often, and hope they are planning another one for next year.

And when all is said and done, you know what this means?? I can stroke off #36 on My List!

So? What did you think? Did you have a good time?
