Sweater Weather & Fall Accessories
Fall. It’s such a finicky time of year isn’t it? While two weeks ago I could have sworn Winter was on its way (we had about 1/2 inch of snow one morning), this week it feels like summer.
While the weather might be a little wonky, it’s allowing me to continue to enjoy my Fall weather favourites. Chunky knit sweaters, turtle necks, ripped jeans, and ankle booties are in heavy rotation right now.
Choosing accessories when it feels like your whole body is covered up can sometimes be a tricky task. More often than not I take a minimalist approach when selecting my accessories in the Fall months and stick to the basics: dainty rings, sunglasses, blanket scarves and a watch.
It may be hard for you to believe, but up until a month ago I only owned one watch (the rose gold one “J” surprised me with 3 years ago). Sure it limited my options and made my daily outfit planning easier, but I longed for something a bit more eye-catching and unique.
I searched high and low for something that was more of a statement piece, but it wasn’t until I stumbled upon JORD’s wooden watches did I feel I found a timepiece that was truly unique. Not only are JORD watches handcrafted and sustainable, they are beautifully designed using modern elements like gold, swarovski crystal, and sapphire crystal glass. I mean, it’s kind of a showstopper right?
The JORD website is filled with all kinds of beautiful watches, but I couldn’t help but gravitate towards the Sidney in maple and rose gold (I’m all about the rose gold lately). When it arrived I literally squealed with delight! Packaged in the most beautiful wooden box and wrapped around the cutest little pillow, a JORD wooden watch would make the perfect anniversary, birthday or Christmas gift (because Christmas is fast approaching you know!).
Now that I have two watches in my collection I may be faced with a more difficult decision when selecting my accessories!
