Distillery Tour // Mill St. Brewery + Sweet Escapes + El Catrin
You’ll remember back in August I had the chance to join a few of my favourite food bloggers on a tour of Kitchener-Waterloo’s food scene. Organized by the brilliant Christina, of Buffy & George, we toured the St. Jacobs Farmers Market and Martin’s Apple Farm. After a fun filled day of shopping and eating, we declared “we have to do this more often!” And the #FoodieTour was born.
Despite Saturday’s rain and dreary weather, I met up with 10 of my favourite food bloggers (Mardi, Heather, Christina, Louisa, Jan, Jenny, Meg, Rhonda, Robyn, and Isabelle) for a tour of the Distillery District. I had never been to the distillery district before, so I was pretty excited to get the walkabout from the locals! Heather, from The Tasty Gardener, organized the entire thing, setting up a tasting + tour of Mill Street Brewery, a session with Sweet Escapes Patisserie, and then a full-out Mexican dinner and Day of the Dead Party at El Catrin.
Can I just say my meal at El Catrin was phenomenal! It really hit the spot, totally obliterating my Mexican food cravings…for now!
