Heading to the CIA

When I was in high school I had this crazy idea that I wanted to be a chef… and maybe an art teacher… but mostly a chef. I know, both highly competitive and difficult industries, but I felt I had the passion for it. Today, I am neither a chef or an art teacher, but I do have several clients in the food industry that allow me to be creative with food. Take this weekend for example. I am flying to Napa to spend the weekend shooting cooking videos at the Culinary Institute of America. Did my high school self ever think my career would take me down this path? Probably not. But I work hard and when the right opportunity comes along where I get to mix my passion for food and art, I jump on it.

That said, it’s going to be a little quiet around here for the next few days, but I hope you all have a lovely Mother’s Day weekend.
