It’s a Whole New World At Indigo Kitchener + A $150 Giveaway

If there’s one place that is heaven on earth… it’s an Indigo store.

I could easily spend all day there getting lost in a book, perusing the beautiful housewares and home decor, trying out the latest and greatest in tech, taking in the delightful scents from candles, aromatherapy and luxurious body care products, oohing and awing over the cutest baby toys… all while sipping a hot latte from Starbucks. Heavenly!

So when I heard there was a brand new Indigo store opening at 225 Fairway Road South in Kitchener, I got really excited! Having spent my fair share of time at the Gateway and King St. locations, I couldn’t wait to see what the new location had in store!

And let me tell you… It’s everything I dreamed it would be, and more!

The warm and modern aesthetic is brought to life within each of the beautifully styled and defined sections; all filled with books, exclusive in-house lifestyle products, and the best must-have specialty brands.

It should come as no surprise to any of my readers that my favourite section in the store is the cookbook section! Filled with national-bestsellers, like Yum & Yummer, and Taste Canada Award winners, like Oh She Glows and Hot Thai Kitchen, you’ll be sure to find a cookbook to satisfy your inner chef. Not to mention, the lovely array of tabletop & dining products, from marble + wood cutting boards and pretty little ramekins to items from Le Creuset and Kate Spade, there’s plenty to feast your eyes upon!

Here’s a little secret of mine… the baby section at Indigo is a gold-mine for baby shower gifts!! From clothing and swaddles to toys and parenting books you can find a variety of safe, stylish and unique baby products for the little ones in your life! Trust me, I always get asked where I find such cute stuff!

Indigo might not be the first place you think of when it comes to the latest fashions, but let me assure you, they carry some of the best-of-the-best brands when it comes to bags, scarves, reading socks, jewellery and other fashion accessories! Quite honestly, I’ve been lusting over this vegan tote bag by Matt & Nat for years now. If you’re a fashionista, or want to learn more about fashion, this section also features a variety of books to pique your interest!

Now, if you find yourself in the home décor section at Indigo, watch out! You’re going to want to buy everything! They do such a lovely job at curating the most stylish and functional décor for your home. They make it so easy for you to cozy up with a good book under a plush blanket with a chic pillow or two… or three!

The Tech and Games Section at the New Kitchener Indigo Store

Whether you’re a tech enthusiast or a board game buff, the tech and games sections at Indigo don’t disappoint! I was actually surprised to find my all-time favourite card game in-stock at the new Kitchener location, Cards Against Humanity, along with other popular games like What Do You Meme? and Cranium.

Heather's Pick Table at Indigo Kitchener Bookstore Feature Book Walls at Kitchener Indigo

Lastly, as you’d expect from Canada’s largest bookstore, their selection of books is out of this world! Whether you shop in-store or online, you’ll surely find what you’re looking for! Personally, whenever I find myself in an Indigo store, I lean on the advice of their knowledgeable associates or their feature book walls to tell me what’s “hot” right now. Their dedicated sections and signage clearly indicate their Staff Picks, Best for Book Clubs, and Heather’s Picks, so you know you’re in good hands!
