Spring “Must-Haves” for Your Backyard Retreat
Almost one week into spring and I am already backyard dreaming! Last spring “J” and I initiated the massive undertaking that is our backyard. A truly blank slate; we were able to inject a little personality and make it functional by adding a raised garden bed and building a garden shed.
Our “to-do” list this spring is slowly getting longer. I would love to be able to put the finishing touches on the backyard; you know dress it up with some patio furniture, hang some string lights, get a new BBQ. However, some major work needs to happen first, including installing a new stamped concrete pad, running electrical and natural gas lines, and getting “J” to agree on a style of patio furniture (so far the last item on the list is proving to be the hardest!). So until this gosh-darn snow melts I’ll be backyard dreaming…
