Damn! It’s Jam Season
Do you ever make Jam? I personally don’t, but I do remember when I was little my Grandma would take my sisters and I wild strawberry picking whenever we went to their house up north. This was bear country, so my Grandpa would always tag along with a lawn chair and his gun… {yes you read that correctly!}
We would pick for hours and hours, then head back to the house with sunburned noses and strawberry stained fingers!
Grandma would take the whole-lot of strawberries {or at least the ones that survived the drive home} throw them in a big pot and make her jam. At the end of it all, my sisters and I were rewarded with a little 125 mL jar of wild strawberry jam… litterally the fruits of our labour!
Anyway, I am going somewhere with this… haha
