Vacation: a period of travel and relaxation when you take twice the clothes and half the money you need.
This vacation was probably the. Best. Time. Of. My. Life…. period!
I don’t know what else to tell you…. other than I had so much fun!
I honestly didn’t realize how much I needed a vacation until I was fully emerged in it… I was relaxed, calm, and really just went with the flow… I didn’t really care what happened and when…. just “did” as opportunities came along…
Jo & Jamie were great hosts… I actually felt like I couldn’t do enough to thank them for letting me stay…. even though the first night I did end up on the floor 😉 lol….
We honestly did too much to even encapsulate in one post… most of it will now reside in my memory, but for the sake of you readers I will give you a quicky glimpse of what filled up most of my 11 days there…
- Big White…. eating, snowboarding, hot tubbin, drinks, snowboarding, drinks, hot tub & drinks, eating, snowboarding… repeat for 4 glorious days!
- Crave cupcakes… anyone who lives in Calgary will understand why this does not need anymore explanation than that!
- Movies, movies and more movies… including Wedding Crashers, The Hangover, The Best of Will Ferrell (as per #1), RED and Get Him to the Greek…
- Punk Rock Bingo! Fun, even though I didn’t win!
- Bowling at Schanks… didn’t win… again! But managed to take one of the best pictures… ever!!
- Dinner at Joey Tomatoes, and drinking wine on my last night…
It was so surreal coming back home… As I flew into KW airport I could feel this dark, sick cloud come over me… I was really not to happy to be home… I can definitely recognize that most of what is giving me anxiety these days is here at home (ahem... I am sure you can guess… who…)
I did have a great time, and I am so happy that I took the plunge… in the end money was definitely not an issue… gaining life experience and memories took priority…
So today I can happily crossing off #7 and #11 on my list…
