Description

This easy-to-transport appetizer will be the talk of the town at your next party! Umami-rich mushrooms are sautéed in fresh herbs and a splash of balsamic vinegar, piled on top of a creamy round Upper Canada Cheese Company Camembert, and baked until melty. Serve with toasted baguette or crackers.

Ingredients

Units Scale

tbsp olive oil
1 lb mixed mushrooms (crimini, baby button, oyster, shiitake, enoki)
1/2 tbsp fresh chopped rosemary
1/2 tbsp fresh thyme
1 tbsp high-quality balsamic vinegar
1 round Upper Canada Cheese Comfort Cream

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat add olive oil and mushrooms. Sauté until mushrooms start to soften and brown, approximately 5-7 minutes. Add rosemary, thyme, and vinegar; sauté another 1-2 minutes or until herbs are fragrant (be careful not to burn the herbs).
3. In a medium baking dish or brie baker, place round of Upper Canada Cheese Comfort Cream. Top with balsamic mushroom mixture. Bake in oven for 7 minutes. Remove and serve immediately with crackers or toasted baguette.
