Making Everyday Life Easier with the Google Nexus 7
There are some things that come into your life that make you think, “how in the world did I live without this?” For me it’s been things like my Canon camera, stout beer mustard (so good!), natural cosmetics and deodorant, and of course the new Google Nexus 7 Tablet.
After receiving the tablet from Staples Canada a few weeks ago, I have already found so many ways to integrate it into my daily life. If you’ve been a long time reader of this blog, then you would know I am kind-of in to social media. The Nexus 7’s wide range of apps makes checking my Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest accounts quick and easy (and I can do it from the comfort of my own bed… with a cup of coffee in hand!)
The convenient size of the Nexus 7 has a huge roll to play in its usability in my house. It’s small, lightweight, and most important, comfortable to use – I can literally grab it & go! “J” loves using it to check the hockey scores, and to keep tabs on his fantasy hockey league while we lounge around watching TV.
I also happen to love food and spending time in the kitchen. What’s great about the Nexus 7’s compact size is that it fits nicely on my kitchen counter, making following a recipe easy and accessible. And when I am finished cooking and ready to take that glamour shot, the Nexus 7’s built in 5MP camera is quick to auto-focus making capturing that drool-worthy shot simple.
Size, convenience, comfort and usability are all wonderful reasons why I use the Nexus 7 tablet on a day to day basis, however there is one thing I love most about this tablet… it’s speed! Armed with a powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon™ S4 Pro Processor and 2GB of RAM, this little tablet can get anything accomplished in a flash!
Seriously, how did I live without this? Here are some other features worth mentioning…
- Swipe-to-type… Love this because I’m lazy.
- Speakers on both ends of the device… gives a surround sound experience.
- The screen resolution is phenomenal!
- The battery lasts 9+ hours.
- Easy to navigate.
If you’re still on the fence about what to buy your husband, mother, or even best friend, I would recommend the new Google Nexus 7 (available at Staples, starting at $249)!
